Tropical wood Kosipo comes from a large tree in the forests of West and Central Africa that can reach a height of 50 m and a diameter of 230 cm. The bole is straight and cylindrical covered with a smooth greyish bark in young individuals and scaly in older ones. The bole has buttresses that can reach up to 3 m high. The foliage is dense and dark.
